About The Queens Head
This is the oldest Inn in Meriden and has been licensed for over 300 years. Initially used by coach and horses in later years charabancs would take village folk on a days outing from here.
In earlier days the Queens Head catered for funerals, overnight accomodation and the yard at the rear was used as a market place selling cattle, vegetables, wood and hiring out horse and carriages.
It is now established as a friendly public house offering meals at lunchtimes, and now in its refurbished restaurant.
